FAQs for Purchasers

Buying

How do I buy a course?

Browse the Marketplace, open the course you want, and add it to your cart. If you do not have a Coggno account yet, one is created as you check out. Step by step: How to purchase and check out your course.

What are the plans, and what do they cost?

Three options. À la carte means paying per course, with a free LMS, unlimited administrators and groups, and certificates on completion. Coggno Prime is a per-user subscription giving unlimited access to the Prime course library, plus SSO, API access, your own custom URL, HRIS and payroll sync, and the ability to upload your own content. Enterprise adds volume pricing, custom integrations and full white-labeling. Current prices are on the pricing page.

Can I buy several licenses at once?

Yes. Add the number of licenses you need before checking out, and you can buy more licenses later from the same account. If you are buying for a team, set up a company account first so the licenses sit in one place.

Can I pay by purchase order?

Yes. See how to purchase and check out using a purchase order.

Where do I find my receipt?

In your account, under Billing > Invoices.

Getting training to your people

As an employer, how do I distribute courses to my employees?

Through your Coggno account, and the right setup depends on whether your staff have work email. A company account on the Coggno LMS gives each employee their own login and tracks them individually. A Training Kiosk account suits temporary, part-time or field staff with no corporate email: everyone shares one company login and picks their name from a list. Either way you can monitor, track and report on training in real time.

Can I buy one course and share it among my staff?

No. Courses are licensed per learner, and the completion record and certificate belong to the individual who took the course. Many courses exist to satisfy state or federal requirements, so per-employee records are what stands up to an audit.

About the courses

What is the difference between an online training course and a webinar?

Watching a webinar is like watching a video. Online training is interactive, self-paced and user-driven, which keeps the learner engaged. Most online courses combine video, voiceover and slides, and check the learner's comprehension with periodic knowledge checks.

How long are courses available for?

Generally, courses are available for multiple views between one and two years.

How long are the courses?

They vary. Some take 30 minutes, others eight hours or more. Each course page in the Marketplace lists its length.

Do the courses have extra material to print or download?

It varies by course. Some include downloadable material, and the course page says so.

Are certificates given at the completion of a course?

Most courses issue a printable Certificate of Completion from the expert who created the course material. Certificates are emailed automatically once the learner finishes.

Are there continuing education courses (CEUs / CECs)?

Yes. Many licensed professions require CEUs to maintain a license, and courses carrying CEU or CEC credit are available in fields including real estate, dentistry and nursing.

How do you select content providers? Is there a screening process?

Coggno partners with experts in HR and compliance, safety, business management, software and other fields, and those partners fill the Marketplace with their content. You can read and leave reviews on any course by opening it in the Marketplace and selecting Reviews.
